Artist's Comments

At least that's what I think they are. Pine, right? Someone knows their needles, and I'm sure someone will know exactly what these are. Whatever they are, they're pretty, and I loved the pattern of this, radiating out from the center. Even two little "super baby" little guys in the middle. :)

For those who are curious, or who would like to weigh-in on what type of tree these are from, here are two links into my scraps that might help! [link] and [link]

i'm going to go ahead and assume they're actually a type of spruce; not sure how short the needles are, that's the first indicator (spruce have longer needles than pine).

heh. yeah. guess who grew up out in the country where that thing was actually paid attention to...

I'd say red pine, but then again, I haven't really looked at evergreen trees up close since September, so... ^^;

Don't you want to eat them? I know I do. But they don't taste very good... Really you're better off sucking the sap :)

Baby Spruce Cones. Hmm. Probably the real name, but not as fun. :) If you find out for sure, let me know! :)
